Changes in Rangeland Condition and Health of Palandoken Mountain Rangelands Over two Decades

Rangeland plant communities respond to environmental changes depending on management practices, climate, topography, and time. The objective of the study was determine in abundancy functional groups, range condition score, class, health with different topographical characteristics between 1993 2013. Trends investigated changed aspect topography. While decreaser increaser plants decreased, invader increased over two decades. Similarly, also declined this period. properties showed uneven distribution among sites due uncontrolled grazing practices site characteristics. results indicated that degradation has been continued under current practices. Therefore sustainable strategies should be put urgently into practice for conservation natural resources highland hilly rangelands Turkey.
